Hey, I’m Amanda! A 20-something (okay, almost 30-something) Mom to a precocious (…did I spell precious wrong? Freudian slip?) 3-year-old (henceforth referred to as Star-Girl, her superhero alter ego) and a snuggle-starved westie, Rory, wife to a wonderful husband, self-proclaimed Domestic Goddess and a bit of a hippy.
I personally strive for growth, balance and consciousness in all areas of life. I spend a lot of time on self reflection, exploration and goal setting. You are the only person you’re guaranteed to be with for the rest of your life, so I feel it’s the most important relationship to cultivate.
My creative expression knows no bounds, I have literally never found a craft I didn’t love. I am inspired by the urban homestead movement and strive each year to make, grow, or repurpose more of everything I own.
In spite of this constant effort I still go through all the typical “modern day Mom” struggles. Striking a balance between work, home, healthy eating, exercise, laundry, dishes, budgeting and that perpetual to do list!
I believe every step forward is STILL a step forward, even if it doesn’t work out in the end. I fall off the healthy eating/living bandwagon a lot, I’m no where near perfect, but I eventually get back on, and make it a bit further each time.
I am currently balancing being a Stay at home parent, taking care of another child full time (henceforth known as Doodle-bug), maintaining a solid side hustle with my Norwex business, and saving to go back to school in 2020 to become a Certified Holistic Nutrition Consultant.
Along with all of this I also have ADHD and General Anxiety Disorder.
My hope for this blog is that you’ll find inspiration, a sense of community, and get a look at what life can be like for someone with ADHD.
Much like my brain at any given moment, this blog is a growing collection of a little bit of everything; research, information, and my personal refections on ADHD and anxiety, recipes, craft projects…. And probably a lot of other things I just haven’t thought of yet.
Welcome to my brain, I hope you enjoy exploring!
